The extensions are free to install and free to use for their core purpose. Some have a one-time paid upgrade ("Pro"). There is no subscription and no account. If a paid upgrade is not what you expected, email us within 14 days and we will refund it — no questions asked.

Paid upgrades are sold through Polar (Polar Software Inc.), which acts as the merchant of record. This means Polar is the seller for the transaction: Polar takes the payment, issues the receipt, and handles sales tax and VAT in your country. Your card statement will show Polar, not halulab.
The software itself is made and supported by halulab. Questions about the extension come to us; questions about a charge can go to either of us.
Google is not a party to the sale. The Chrome Web Store does not process payments for these extensions.
A paid upgrade is a license to use the Pro features of one extension. It is not a transfer of ownership of the software.

You may install and use the extensions on the browsers you personally use, for personal or business purposes. You may not:
Reading the code to understand what the extension does on your machine is fine. We would rather you checked than trusted us blindly.
We promise that an extension does what its Chrome Web Store listing says it does. If it does not, that is a defect and you are entitled to a fix or a refund.
Beyond that, the extensions are provided as is. Web pages change constantly and some sites will not work with a given extension. We cannot promise that every page on the internet is supported, or that the extension is free of every bug.
Please keep your own copy of anything important. These extensions read what is already on a page and write files to your computer; they do not delete or upload your data. Even so, do not treat an exported file as your only copy of something you cannot lose.
What you do with the output is your responsibility. These are tools that read a web page and hand you the result. Web pages are written by other people and can be wrong, incomplete, or change without notice. Check the data before you rely on it. We are not responsible for decisions you make from an exported file, for how you use the exported data, or for whether you were allowed to take it from the site you took it from — that is between you and that site.
To the extent the law of your country allows it, halulab's total liability for any claim relating to an extension is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or lost data.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or a failure to meet a non-waivable consumer guarantee.
These are small tools and some of them will not find an audience. If we stop working on one, this is exactly what happens, in this order:
What you lose when an extension is discontinued is future updates, not the software you paid for. That is why the automatic refund covers recent buyers rather than everyone: someone who bought last week did not get what they expected, while someone who has been using it for a year did.
If we change these terms, the version in force for your purchase is the one published on the day you bought. We keep the date at the top of this page current.
halulab is based in Japan and these terms are governed by Japanese law. If you bought as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts.
Because Polar is the merchant of record, Polar's buyer terms also apply to the payment itself.
